Frequently Asked Questions

Is it really necessary to get teeth cleanings and dental checkups so often?

Yes. Plaque accumulates regardless of how diligent your personal oral hygiene routine is. Regular dental visits are essential for identifying problems before they become serious. We recommend scheduling checkups at least twice a year.

What exactly is a veneer?

Veneers are thin shells of porcelain or a resin material that are bonded to the front of the teeth. The procedure typically requires minimal anesthesia and serves cosmetic purposes, including masking discoloration, closing gaps, and creating a whiter, more uniform smile.

What is a root canal?

Root canal treatment addresses internal tooth damage from chips, breaks, poor fillings, or decay. The dentist numbs the tooth, removes the nerve and infected tissue through a small opening, disinfects and seals the canals, then closes the tooth with a filling or crown to restore strength and prevent future cracking. Antibiotics may be recommended beforehand if infection is present.
